Spirituality

As Holy Week begins, it’s a meaningful time to reflect on your whole self—mind, body, and spirit. In this post, Tiff shares her personal journey of faith, the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice, and how spiritual wellness completes the path to becoming your best self in 2025 with Evolve Mental Health.

Holy Week

As we enter Holy Week for Christians throughout the world, it is time to look at you, the whole person related to mental and physical health.

I will provide a quick overview of Holy Week which starts on Palm Sunday and goes until Easter Sunday (this year 04/13-04/20). God, the Father, sent Jesus, the son, for us and our sins. He was a perfect human who gave his life for us to forgive our sins allowing us, who believe in him, to be able to enter Heaven. Holy Week represents the last week of his life when he was was betrayed and ultimately crucified for us and rose after 3 days overcoming death and returning to Heaven. (Source)

Here is a Bible study that will help you walk through this time. If you do not have a Bible, check with your local church, and I have some available for you as well.

We have been focusing, to this point, on how taking care of the body with physical activity, eating and decompression (self-care). Now, let’s look at the spiritual side.

Here is a list of the 7 life wellness items often called pillars or dimensions for review.

So what can we do?

Look into yourself and see what is missing. A person cannot be whole without having a higher power in their life. I am not talking specifically about a certain religion or church. I am taking about believing in someone greater than yourself, Jesus.

I am a Christian and a follower of Jesus Christ, and I want to share what this has done for me personally. He did give his life for me which is honored by me every day of my life, not just during the Holy Week.

I have never had a perfect life, no one has. However, when I have been dealing with life struggles, I had someone I knew was with me to lean on and believe in to help me get through these. We are not alone in the world. Which at times, seems difficult to believe for all of us as we deal with what comes our way in this world including sorrow, feeling lost and just truly like no one is there for you. This is when it helps to stop and look, Jesus is with us. I have felt him with me during these times. I also want to add that he is there during times of joy and happiness as well. It is easy when things are going well to just live your life and not seek Jesus during these times. However, this is also a time to continue to seek guidance and give thanks. Seeking your spiritual component will complete your whole person, finish out what may be missing in your life.

So Remember...

Look at your life and what is missing.

I praise Jesus throughout ~ good and bad. He is there for me and will be for you as well.

Wishing all an inspirational Holy Week.
