April is Stress Awareness Month—a perfect reminder to slow down and reflect on how stress affects our minds and bodies. In this post, Tiff encourages us to step off the hamster wheel, embrace the present, and find gratitude in the everyday as part of our journey toward a more balanced and fulfilled life.
Stress Awareness Month
I know we are a ways into April now, but what I have discussed to this point also does help with dealing with stress. My past blogs have set the stage for this. Stress is hard on us mentally and physically. Here is some basic information on how this effects us, our whole body.

Life is short. How many times have we heard that?? Enjoy what you’ve got before it is gone and enjoy your stage in life (whatever that may be) as it does not last long. There are so many sayings which have the same theme.

So what can we do?
Stop and enjoy.
We, all of us, have a tendency to get wrapped up in the day to day just completing 1 task after another. I often, in sessions, relate this to being a hamster on the hamster wheel (I am sure we have all heard that one too!!). Where we are just going through the day to day items as expected without really see what is there.
I know we all have a great deal to do daily in our lives with our expectations, but what I am saying is just take time to really look at where you are in your life. We will never have this day/time again.

Start being present...
look at this moment in time just like this, a present. Looking at our lives this way, changes our thoughts and lets us be more grateful for what is here now. No one has a perfect life and I know there are struggles along the way which at times can make this seem impossible to stop and be grateful. What I am asking is to find something to be grateful for and stop each day for this. It may be something amazing like the beautiful sunrise or sunset or a kind word/action by someone. We are all here in the world trying to make it through together. So let’s do just that, make it through together. A kind word, behavior or just a smile could be just the action the other person needs in their day to be grateful and inspire them as well.

So Remember...
Stop and enjoy and may I add, pass it on.
